Following the European Union Referendum on June 23rd 2016 the Conservative Party Leader David Cameron resigned from office. After a short lived leadership battle Theresa May, the previous Home Secretary, stepped in to the position.

Reacting to concerns that Study Visa have become an easy entry route into the United Kingdom, the Prime Minister announced plans to limit the number of applicable courses as well as the number of student visas in total.

Clearly this could have major implications for those of you wishing to study in the United Kingdom.

So what can you do to make sure you can still reach your dream of studying abroad? Luckily there are a few easy steps to make sure you can still gain a student visa.

1) PLAN AHEAD - as with any project the key to success is in proper planning. If you are aiming for the top British Universities (i.e. those that will still be able to accept learners on a student visa) you need an outstanding Curriculum Vitae. There are certain skills, experiences and sports which will greatly improve your chances of being accepted. At a minimum, we would suggest that you begin building your CV two years prior to your application. We offer a mentoring and coaching service to help you or your child develop the strongest CV possible. Unlike other companies, we have only ever worked with top universities - therefore we are in the strongest position to gain Student Visa under the new guidance.

2) PICK YOUR COURSE AND UNIVERSITY CAREFULLY - these suggested changes are focused on low ranking universities and less academic courses. There are still visas available for academic courses at top universities. Luckily for you, our speciality is helping people apply and find housing at top British universities.

3) WORK ON YOUR ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS - you can only study at a British University is your level of written and spoken English is high. Expect a test! Our mentoring and coaching service will also help you to prepare for this and our application and personal statement proof reading will ensure that you don't miss out on a place.

4) SEEK EXPERT ADVICE TO WRITE YOUR APPLICATION AND PERSONAL STATEMEMENT - your application and personal statement are the first impression that the university has of you. That's why it is so important that you get it right, this is where we can help!
